Dr Carina Fiedeldey-Van Dijk, Ph.D. profile
Carina's background in psychology and statistics complement her competence with databases and psychometric assessments, including measures of Emotional Intelligence. She researches and consults on the intricate dynamics that drive employee and consumer behaviour. Blending numerical and conceptual insights, she shows how performance, satisfaction and the bottom line can come full circle. Carina statistically analyses employees' responses to tests and performance measures to build unique models and design advanced reporting to reveal patterns for insight beyond what is ordinarily provided. Deliverables are customised, aimed at practical implementation and adding value. Carina has a proven record of accomplishment in private sector research and academia. She completed her doctorate on a structured observation technique for small groups that was patented. She has written nine books/chapters in books and 35 articles in journals and newsletters. She has given 43 presentations at scientific conferences (16 international), and has compiled reports on validity/reliability, standardisation, marketing/segmentation, developmental and technical reports. Carina supervised post-graduate students in completing their thesis/dissertation, and has served on professional boards and as external editor. Carina has conducted numerous workshops and group sessions using a variety of aptitude and psychological tests, including the Myers-Briggs (MBTI), OPQ, EQ-i, MSCEIT, Strong Interest Inventory, MAB and many others. She has patented a structured observation technique for use on small groups. Carina is the author of the Advanced Interpretation Report (AIR) of the EQ-i. This report is a culmination of the EQ-i performance of clients representing various sectors. The EQ competencies are brought closer to the workplace through clusters that facilitate enhanced development of emotional well-being, leadership and healthy functioning in employees.
