Kate Cannon profile
She is considered a 'pioneer' of emotional intelligence training and her work demonstrates the benefits of emotional intelligence for individuals and organisations. From 1991 until 1999 she developed and managed an award winning EQ training program at American Express Financial Advisors in Minneapolis, Minnesota. That program is described in four books on emotional intelligence and has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey show, ABC.com, and in many business publications, including 'Fast Company' and 'The Harvard Management Update'. Research she conducted at American Express demonstrated the positive effects of emotional intelligence training on performance and sales. Later research she conducted with two multi-national firms confirmed that emotional intelligence has a positive impact on leadership and that it can be developed through training. She has developed several proprietary programs which focus on developing emotional intelligence in the context of leadership, creativity, and resilience. Kate's clients include organisations from business, education, health care, community development and the military. She can be contacted at info@eiworld.org. |
