Sally-Anne Airey profile

Picture: Sally-Anne Airey

Sally-Anne Airey is an experienced leader, manager, trainer and coach with 28 years' active engagement in HR and change management, training and development. A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Member of the Institute of Linguists and an accredited EQ-i practitioner, she has worked with people at all levels in government service, business and education, in the UK, France, Eastern Europe and the USA.

A former Commander in the Royal Navy, Sally-Anne has filled both practical leadership and organisational development roles in one of the UK's most sophisticated and dynamic training environments. These included heading a department in a Royal Marines training unit, leading a battalion at the US Navy's graduate officer training school, and designing and implementing the Royal Navy's Compulsory Drug Testing policy. She authored the Navy Board research paper on stress management in the Royal Navy, which led to the introduction of the Royal Navy's stress management policy, and completed her naval career as principal adviser to the Chief Executive of the Naval Recruiting and Training Agency.

In the field of education, Sally-Anne has taught French and English to adults. She was also the business manager and subsequently a member of the board of governors of the World International Baccalaureate School in Kiev, Ukraine. The developmental work she did there led her into HR consultancy and executive coaching for international companies in Ukraine. Her testimonials from clients emphasise her listening skills, talent for gaining and conveying valuable insights and ability to convert these into workable action plans.

Her increasing interest in the importance of emotional intelligence to personal and professional success has led to her association with Ei World. She is committed to helping people understand the impact of their emotions on their performance and well-being.
